It’s what Gough Whitlam was, and what we strive to be.
The Whitlam Institute holds a unique place in the national landscape. A Prime Ministerial institute. A centre of ideas and conversation, respected for our public policy research. Custodians of two key aspects of the national estate – the Whitlam Prime Ministerial Collection and the historic Female Orphan School. An educator and leader, known for our school and community programs. A cultural and arts hub, with thought-provoking events and exhibitions in our Margaret Whitlam Galleries.
Your donation can help us to continue Gough’s work as we strive to foster a more equal, open, tolerant and independent Australia.
In Gough’s own words in 2010:
In the service of Australian Parliamentary democracy, I urge my dear friends and supporters of the Whitlam Institute:
"Maintain your enthusiasm".
